Only one room, crates, a barrel, a phone “should I answer the phone?”, barbers chair.


Non Housmates This years first twist? All housemates entering the house on launch night assume they are housmates in fact non of them are housemates but will have to earn themselves official housmate status.

	1st in Freddie, posh guy, entrepreneur, 23, wearing a russian style hat, booed by crowd.
	2nd Lisa, unemployed, 41, wearing all black with rubber pants and a red mohawk, crowd reaction: cheers with boos towards the end as she seemed to milk the attention.
	3rd Sophie, glamorous model, 20, wearing the biggest boobs with the smallest yellow dress, crowd reaction: mixed with boys cheering probably her boobs?
	4th Chris, curly haired, visual merchandiser, 24, wearing black skinny jeans and grey blazer, crowd mostly boos.
	5th Noirin, irish retail manager, 25, wearing small blue and green dress, crowd reaction: heavy boos.
	6th Cairon, american student, 18, wearing red top waistcoat and jeans, crowd reactions: cheers.
	7th Angel, russian professional boxer, 35, wearing black circus type outfit with top hat and cane, crowd reaction heavy boos.
	8th Karly, scottish unemployed, 21, wearing all black with sparkly skinny trousers, crowd reactions boos.
	9th Marcus, window fitter, 35, comic book lover, wearing white vest and blue jeans, crowd reaction cheers.
	10th Beinazir, receptionist, 28, wearing black and gold dress, crowd reaction cheers.
	11th Sophia, banking assistant, 26, screaming wearing pink top, denim skirt and boots, crowd reaction cheers.
	12th Rodrigo, Brazilian student, 23, yellow and black check shirt and bright blue jeans, crowd reaction cheers.
	13th Charlie, former Mr Gay Newcastle, job center advisor, 22, wearing tshirt and jeans, crowd reaction cheers.
	14th Saffia, dental nurse, 27, wearing one shoulder purple dress, crowd reaction heavy boos.
	15th Sree, student union president, 25, wearing union jack shirt and black suit, crowd reaction cheers and a few boos.
	16th Siavash, event organiser, 23, wearing blue suit and bling tie, crowd reaction boos, he said his biggest regret is not having a bigger willy.

What Next? Non of the housemates are real housemates yet but two of them may be able to become official housemates. Rodrigo enters the diary room and is told he can win official housemate status by shaving another persons eyebrows and painting glasses and a moustache in permanent marker on their face. Noirin agrees and both her and Rodrigo enter the bedroom with a guarnteed place in the Big Brother 2009 House. Over next few nights more challenges will determine which non housemates will become real housemates. On Sunday the public will cast their votes on the remaining people to become official housemates.

LOGO: The iconic eye logo was released on 11th May. Now in its ninth incarnation, is coloured in black, blue, purple and pink and draws similarities to the ‘twisted’ black and yellow spiralling design of the BB7 eye motif. It was released with a quote from Big Brother – “It’s not what you expect it to be” – but it is not clear what this slogan means or refers to. The designer Daniel Eatock said: “It is based on a thumbprint, but is it Big Brother’s thumbprint? Or a housemate’s thumbprint?”

Wow can you believe it, its that time of year again as summer 2009 sees the return of the 10th series of the ever popular channel 4 reality TV show Big Brother. It has been 10 years since little Craig from Liverpool entered the, rather basic, first Big Brother house with his fellow contestants. Little did he know that his stand up to Nasty Nick for cheating would win the hearts of the public and make them vote for him to be the first ever person to win Big Brother. Big Brother has come along way since series 1, with hidden rooms, crazy tasks, secret missions, surprise evictions, and dirty tricks to name but a few. All those backstabbing, bitching, and romantic moments from a huge variety of housemates over these past ten years has kept us glued to our screens over the summer months, lets hope that Big Brother 10 is going to be the most entertaining yet.
